A Day at Parkview Playschool and the Roster Parent's Role

4 Year Old Program		8:50 to 11:20 am OR 1:00 to 3:30 pm
Time	Activity	Roster Duties
8:35 or 12:45	Preparation	Congratulations, you are now a staff person!
8:50 or 1:00	Free Playtime	Exchange library books. Play with children at centres. Try to rotate throughout the classroom..
9:20 or 1:30	Circle Time	Help children to join into the circle to discuss the current theme and craft.
9:30 or 1:40	Craft Time	Supervise children who are not at the craft table.
10:00 or 2:10	Clean-up Time	Help all children participate in clean-up, putting toys in the appropriate places.
10:05 or 2:15	Reading	While the children are reading, help them wash their hands within the classroom
10:30 or 2:40	Snack Time	Children bring their snack bags and napkins to the table. Help with opening snacks.
		Children put their snack bags away and put juice boxes in the sink. Roster parent to empty out the juice boxes and put them in the recycling bag.
10:35 or 2:45	Gym Time	Encourage children to play appropriately with gym equipment.
10:50 or 3:00	Show and Share/ Calendar	During this time please sweep the floor, wash dishes, wipe down the tables & placemats. Take crafts downstairs to be placed in their baskets.
11:10 or 3:20	Home Time	Help children get ready.
11:20 or 3:30	End of Class	Please stay until all the children have left.
