Volunteer Program
The Parkview Basketball program relies heavily on volunteers in order to deliver all the aspects of the program to many youth in the Parkview and surrounding neighbourhoods that participate each year. In order to ensure that we honour our volunteer requirements to the EYBA ,and to ensure the program continues to operate, a Volunteer Deposit Policy is in place that will require a separate volunteer deposit cheque that will either be destroyed or cashed, subject to fulfillment or your volunteer commitment as per below.
If you are unable to fulfill the commitment specifically to the Basketball Program, other volunteer opportunities have been listed for the Community League which sponsors this program and provides many other programs and services including the hall, playground, rink, park redevelopment, socials, tennis and basketball courts, special events, playschool etc. A volunteer commitment of a minimum of 4 hours is required. All commitments must be completed by June 30, 2012.
Parents, older siblings and youth are encouraged to participate in the league as coaches, assistant coaches or team managers. If you are able to assist with Registration, Coaching, Team Management, Administration, Equipment, Score Keeping, Casio or Photo Coordination please let us know.
Important Notice
At this point we have not been able to confirm coaches for all teams. If we are unable to fill these positions or fill teams we will attempt to send the athletes to neighbouring community league teams.
